I figured a shot of an instrument would work well, but my original image of a saxophone wasn’t doing the trick. I decided to use an extremely large image and crop it down to an area of interest, hoping it would immediately grab the readers’ attention. I used a guitar’s body to shape my text and kept my design simple, letting the image of the guitar do most the talking. The text is purely for mockup purposes and will not read well if at all.

Blip Magazine Feature – San Francisco

Print Portfolio

2007

8.5x11

Illustrator

InDesign
<guid

I had to design a front and back cover, along with an inside cover. I was not required to create the contents of the report and the text you see on the back is just for mock-up purposes. My only disappointment was we were required to use a photograph of our subject, and I feel the modern design and color scheme combined the old black and white photo creates a clashing style.

Walter Movie Poster

Print Portfolio

18x24

2007

Illustrator

Photoshop
<guid

It was difficult to integrate so many different web technologies into site, while keeping the overall design and color scheme consistent to enhance the users’ experience. The goal was to first design the website and then integrate WHMCS as a support system and payment gateway, tcAdmin for managing the client’s game servers, and vBulletin as a community forum. This was one of my longer projects, and I am quite pleased with the final results of design and usability. The transition from differnt areas and control panels was seemless and generated positive feedback from the clients, once the website was live.

Colleen West, MFT Website

Web Portfolio

2007

Dreamweaver

Photoshop
<guid

It was fun being able to create someone else’s vision rather, than creating all design elements myself. Although I executed the actual design, she had a large influence in its direction. I feel the final product not only informs potential clients about her business, but reflects her style nicely as well.
